During 2010, 2011 & 2012, 3 years in a row!, the world's most prestigious kiteboarding event, the PKRA worldcup, will be organised at Brazil's hottest and newest kitespot, Ilha do Guajiru!

Never in the PKRA history, a newborn kitespot like Ilha do Guajiru, managed to host the most ambitious kiteboarding event for upto three years on such short notice: in less then one year from it's 'discovery'!

The decision though is a logical consequence of the island's enormous popularity under kiteboarders: before and after the PKRA discipline held at Piaui during 2008, numerous pro riders had already been spotted training at Ilha do Guajiru due to it's perfect conditions.

Massive flatwater, the biggest lagoon of the entire N-E Brazil, along with loads and loads of wind EVERYDAY, is what is needed by the world's best kiteboarders!

On this page, we will regularly keep you informed about all latest news and informations on this exciting PKRA event and the preparations that Ilha do Guajiru is taking on it's way towards it.

Also, strong rumours circulate that just after the PKRA event, a large show event will be organised!

Such competition, possible called the SHOW MASTERS competition, might include a kicker and slider competition (the first kicker is already ready to be launched by Germany's pro kiter and kicker specialist Kim Albrecht) but also a fire and night kite competition, also a unique happening in the kiteboarding history.
